As a Fan.... Episode #18: Start of 2020, Winter Transfer, and more

After a week break, the guys are happy to be back and talk about the new year with new breaking news from the newly Winter break. FC Barcelona parted ways with their coaching staff led by Ernesto Valverde, shortly after replaced by Quique Setien. A manager that has not had a chance to manage such a big team and has only manage Las Palmas and Betis at the top Spanish league and was sacked by Betis at end of 2018/2019 season. Real Madrid won the Super Spanish Cup by defeating Atletico Madrid in PK’s 4-1 and claim the Spanish Super Cup. This year saw a new format for the Spanish Super Cup, as it has in previous year been a single match between the Cup winner and the Top League winner, but this year they are doing 4 team with single elimination, meaning winners of their respective games will face each other for the trophy. This year they have four teams, that are Winner and Runner-Up of both the Top League and Spanish Cup, but needs to be 4 teams so they will fill open spots from Top League Standings; Top League Winner: Barcelona Spanish Cup Winner: Valencia op League Runner-Up: Atletico Madrid Spanish Cup Runner-Up: Barcelona this then goes to next available team in top league
 and in this case is Real Madrid In Liga MX the Apertura 2019 season saw Monterrey beat America to be crowned the Champion getting the prediction from Dan about Monterrey winning the league. Now, in January 2020 the new Clausura 2020 season has started and we give our prediction for the season Champion. We also talked about the new FIFA rules regarding the Loan system the club use to buy lots of young talent and immediately loan them out multiple times, making big clubs bigger/richer and hurting revenues from small teams. We also talked transfer as we are in the middle of Winter Transfer window for 2020. We finish the episode with our MUST/MISS section where we suggest games that our listeners should follow during this international break... or not follow.
